Basic Information Full Name: Amber Angeni Draug*** Nicknames: Angie Age: 24 Birthday: March 13th, 1986 Gender: Female Birthplace: Chattahoochee, Florida Grade: College Senior**** Occupation: Philharmonic Member (Professional Musician), Video Game Tester, Starbuck's Barista Girl Relations (Family):

Instrument: Viola - 15 years |
Personality Amber, or "Angie" as she is better known to her friends, is often stamped as an irresistably cheerful woman with a deep love for music, and a go-getter attitude. She can often be found practicing her viola on campus, whether in the musical wing or merely out in one of the courtyards. Above all else, Angie loves music, and loves sharing it with others. She also enjoys website designing, working in photoshop, and trying out the newest coffees. However, she is not a timid music girl. Similar to her twin brother, Angie has a temper, and a rather volatile one at that. Although she has far more control over it then during her high school years, she will, nonetheless, get into people's faces. Whereas her brother tends to fight his problems out, Amber tends to go straight for words. (A bit of irony to many, considering Mason is the poet and writer.) She has posted defacing statements about people on her facebook, and has, in the past, written in sharpie in the women's bathrooms when someone just pisses her off too much. However, those are last-ditch efforts, and she tends to prefer what she calls 'a good debate' and what others call 'a verbal catfight'. Despite her hot-headed temper, Amber is an extremely intelligent young woman, working towards a degree in Forensics, with a minor in professional music and criminal pychology. Although she works as a video game tester, she really doesn't have as much of an interest in the games, sending her swag and games to her brother once she's finished with them. She does have a World of Warcraft account and raids with a few friends, but doesn't put nearly as much time in it as her brother. Don't get her wrong. She loves games, and gets a huge laugh out of kicking people's asses in a LAN party, and watching (or hearing) their shock at a 'sorrority girl' beating them in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 or Halo 3: ODST. It's just not her highest priority in life. She loves to party, and has, at least once or twice, been invited to A-list parties on the campus. Like most college girls, she's not afraid to hook up for a one-night stand, though she makes a walk of shame look like a stroll through the park. Amber has a wide-circle of friends, ranging from her Forensics crowd, to her musician colleagues, and to Theatre, the nerds, the jock girls, and so forth. She does not, however, have any taste for cheerleaders and their 'bulemic bullshit'. A little-known fact about Amber: Every Tuesday is reserved for her LARP group. Every Wednesday, DnD. Very few people know this, or even guess at this, as her groups are not affiliated with the college and are actually outside of Chicago. Not to mention... she's too hot to be a geek. Amber tends to be very private, despite her outgoing attitude. Very few know if she even has a boyfriend (or girlfriend). Her co-workers know very little of her college life, and her college colleagues know very little about her work life. Though several know her on sight from the Starbucks across town, or know her as a member of a professional philharmonic, very few know her as a video game tester. |
History Amber Angeni Draug was born in Chattahoochee, Florida, seconds after her twin brother, Mason, to Alexander and Evangeline Draug. Growing up, Amber, or 'Angie', as she often liked to be called, was the more outgoing of the two, and often viewed as the smarter, as she excelled in school while Mason tended to be more lazy. In fourth grade, a music program was introduced to her school. Both Mason and Amber signed up. Amber took the viola, Mason took the cello. (Because of her father's financial status, the two were able to own their instruments, instead of merely renting.) At the age of twelve, however, Alexander and Evangeline divorced, with each of them taking one of the twins and Evangeline taking Marcie. Alexander took a job for Microsoft and translocated himself and Angie across the country, to settle in Bellevue, Washington. Unlike her brother, Angie's life took a rather stable footing, and she began to chase her academics agressively, eventually graduating from high school with a 4.0 GPA and all honors, as well as a commendation for her performance as Sister Maria in the school's performance of The Sound of Music, as well as many top-level scores in musical competitions for her viola. However, instead of going straight to college, Angie instead began to pursue scholarships, including auditioning for the Bellevue Philharmonic. Landing a position in the viola section, Angie continued to pursue her musical career, landing high marks in competitions and earning several scholarships. Although Alexander could have funded any school and tuition she desired, her headstrong attitude made her determined to pay for it on her own. It was almost an accident that landed her the job of a video game tester. Seeing an advert. on Facebook, Angie picked up the phone and called in. Before she knew what had happened, she had signed a contract to work as a tester. And if she did well? They would fund any degree she wished. And thus entered Angie's step into the world of video games, nerds, pixels and geeks. After a year or two of amassing scholarships and a tidy savings account, Angie was ready for college. She enrolled in the Washington State University Forensics program and began working towards that as her major, with minors in music and various psychological fields. By an accident, in her junior year of college, she came across the website for Chicago Institude of Academics and the Arts, displaying the names of the recent winners of a school-wide art competition. One of the honorary mentions was that of her brother, whom she had had no contact with since Alexander and Evangeline's split. Quickly she began to explore the academics lists, and began to make a few calls. Within a few weeks, her transcript was excepted with flying colors. Though the school had doubts on her major (As the Forensics program was new and subjected to people who thought it was as easy as CSI or NCIS made it) they gladly welcomed the talented musician, and accepted her scholarships. Alexander questioned her on her choice, but she never told him the reason why she chose to transfer her credits across the country. She merely told him that she wanted a change of scenery to test her psychological skills. Alexander bought it, and so bought her the plane tickets. Within weeks, Angie was set up in a small three-bedroom house, sharing the space with three-four other girls. Similarly, her position in the Bellevus Philharmonic carried over, as she applied for a transfer, and was welcomed with open arms. Because she has just transferred this school year, she has yet to run into her brother, and has spent a month or two merely settling in and amassing social connections. She has heard rumors of her brother and his legendary temper and drinking habits, but has yet to run into him... or his girlfriend. ...Yet. |
Notes: *- Amber's personal website serves as a portfolio for her music, academic, and video game skills. At this time, it is currently down, awaiting new content and layout. [OOC: Aka, I'm going to build a site for her.] **- Amber's number is not a 312, as her father paid for her cell phone number to transfer with her. Instead, it is in the Bellevue, WA area code. Despite the area code, however, Verizon and other carriers have it on file as residing in Chicago, preventing it from being long-distance. ***- Amber's name is a mixture of her heritage. 'Angeni' stands for 'Spirit' in Native American, and she so often prefers to be called 'Angie' or 'Angeni' as a point of pride of her Native American heritage. She is 1/2-blooded, and is listed as a Native American. She is also 1/4 Celt, hence her surname, Draug. (Drah-oog) This name stands for 'Wolf'. ****- Amber is actually still rather new to the campus, despite being a Senior. This is because she had her credits transferred from WSU, including her major in Forensics. [OOC: In other words, because 'Academics' is in the college name, I'm assuming it's not all completely arts, and that there are other programs for students. If having her as a Forensics major is a problem, I'm completely willing to change it. Just send me a word.] Other:
