The hustle and bustle that filled the air inside Woodfield Mall kept the place seemingly lively. With the 300 different shops that adorned it, the place seemed to be a shopper's dream.
One of the people that filled these halls was Rena Morrison, a 19 year old young woman. She was shopping for clothes and other supplies, in preparation for her first year at the Chicago Institute of the Arts. Already in her hands were various bags from shops, including Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, and Victoria's Secret. She was not only shopping for clothes, though. But, the other shop she needed to go to was actually across town: Chicago Dance Supply. As she proceeded for the doors that led to the street, she slipped on a wet spot on the floor.

The soft click of heels on the tiled floor announced that another woman was walking through the mall. It wasn't any kind of surprise, of course, seeing as it was a large mall, and a lot of people were walking through it. Regardless, this woman was unique in that she had been in the mall for three hours and hadn't spent more money that what it cost for a cup of coffee. The cup was long since discarded, and she was walking around, simply looking for things to look at. Window shopping, of course.
Aurora wore her brown hair in soft ringlets going down her head, bouncing around her shoulders as she walked. A teal corset-style top covered her torso, extending down to the top of the blue jeans that clung to her legs. The bottom of the blue jeans were tucked into black boots with a very thin, four inch stiletto heel. Hence, the soft tapping noise. She had her card in her back pocket, along with some cash, thankful that the back pockets zipped and the pants were too tight for someone to try to unzip it to pick-pocket her without her being aware. Thanks to that fact, she didn't have to carry a purse.
Aurora headed toward the door, figuring that three hours was more than enough time to window shop in the mall, and headed to the door, her hands in her pockets, a pleasant smile to anyone that she nearly hit. She nearly bumped into a rather pretty girl with brown hair, and was about to apologize until she saw the girl slip. Instinctively, Aurora held her arms out, catching the girl and keeping her steady.
"Whoa!" Aurora said as she did it, holding onto the girl for a moment before letting go when she was sure the girl had her balance. "Are you alright? Shame the employees didn't put out a sign about that wet spot... I nearly slipped when I came in a few hours ago." [/blockquote]

When Rena slipped on the wet spot on the floor, she thought she would fall down quite suddenly and bump her head. But, she was wrong. Before she could make contact with the ground, she felt two arms go under her, keeping her partially up.
With the help of this mysterious young woman, Rena managed to stand again, picking up her bags which had indeed fallen from her grasp. When Rena turned around to thank this woman, she recognized her as the woman she had nearly collided with mere seconds before.
This woman looked to be taller than her, as well as older, if not by a year. She had brown hair, wavy like Rena's, and about the same length, though Rena's was slightly longer. Rena couldn't help but smile at the woman. It did make her feel slightly better that she had not been the only one to have problems with the wet spot.
"Yes, I suppose they should have put a sign out. That would have been a little helpful. I assure you, I'm alright. If anything, I'm just a little rattled." Then, Rena realized she had forgotten to at least introduce herself. "I'm so sorry. I never introduced myself. I'm Rena Morrison. And, you are?"

Aurora laughed as the girl spoke again, smiling kindly at her. It was in Aurora's nature to be a sweet person, so she just let it shine right through. When the girl began to speak, Aurora listened, aware that she and this other woman had nearly had a collision just moments before. Fate worked in funny ways.
"Oh! I'm so sorry. I'm Aurora Riviera," she said, smiling at the girl. "I didn't either. It's good to hear you're alright, Rena. That's a very pretty name." [/blockquote]
